We’ve got all the information you need to get back in the game. Let’s get started.
We’ll let Dr. Shelby, Au.D., our resident audiologist extraordinaire, take this one.
Treating Different Types of Hearing Loss
Sensorineural Hearing Loss
Most age-related hearing loss is sensorineural hearing loss, and it’s usually treated with hearing aids.
Conductive Hearing Loss
Conductive hearing loss is typically treated by a doctor, but hearing aids can also be an option.
Mixed Hearing Loss
Some aspects of mixed hearing loss may be able to be treated by a doctor (the conductive part), but the sensorineural part can only be treated with a hearing aid.
The best way to treat mild to moderate high-frequency hearing loss is with Eargo hearing aids. Just pop them in, and get ready to hear the world in surround sound—no tests, appointments, or hassles to get in your way. Plus, Eargos are virtually invisible, rechargeable, comfortable, and come backed with lifetime support from our licensed hearing professionals like Dr. Shelby. That means you can focus on what really matters—hearing life to the fullest. Whether it’s the big things like your grandchild’s first words, or the little things like the beep of the microwave, Eargo will be by your side to make sure you don’t miss a beat.
