Treating Different Types of Hearing Loss
Sensorineural Hearing Loss
Most age-related hearing loss is sensorineural hearing loss, and it’s usually treated with hearing aids.
Conductive Hearing Loss
Conductive hearing loss is typically treated by a doctor, but hearing aids can also be an option.
Mixed Hearing Loss
Some aspects of mixed hearing loss may be able to be treated by a doctor (the conductive part), but the sensorineural part can only be treated with a hearing aid.
